Here we are, the night before Canadians head to the polls to elect a Prime Minister. Across the social media and television broadcasts stream reports that Osama Bin Laden has been killed. Ten years after 9-11, the terrorist said to be behind the attacks is dead. Fear appears to be dead as well in the United States of America. The cheering around the White House is something to see. I'm not sure I understand the "party atmosphere" behind this breaking news. Yes, it's true I'm not terribly sad over the death of this man except as the lost potential that he held as a child that never will be realized. I don't feel quite the same exhilaration and jubilation I'm viewing on the television screen. Instead there is a sobering uneasy feeling wondering what next?
